The numbers were obtained by multiplying by weights and aggregating originating and ending trips per block group.

Data from Replica’s Fall 2021 dataset. Filters applied were: home location: Brooklyn or Queens, time: Thursdays, trip origin: Brooklyn or Queens counties. Trip data is aggregated per census block group, based on origin locations of trips.
Boundaries show the 19 buffer areas we have selected for analysis, around MTA’s proposed station locations for the IBX.
